Wrestling Federation of Montenegro renewed membership in United World Wrestling

The first major success of the Wrestling Federation of Montenegro came only a few months after its formation. More precisely, on 31 October 2025, membership in United World Wrestling (UWW) was officially renewed.

The previous federation, which existed for several years, had been a member of the international federation at the time, but its membership was suspended due to unfulfilled obligations.

Since its establishment, the current leadership has been actively working on admission to UWW, and those efforts bore fruit relatively quickly.

Membership in the international federation will enable further development of the national federation, cooperation with other national federations and with UWW itself, and most importantly: participation of our national team athletes in official competitions such as the Balkan, European, and World Championships.
