Wrestling Federation of Montenegro officially began operating
The Ministry of Sports and Youth issued the decision on registration in the Register of Sports Organizations, officially marking the start of the federation’s work.
On 18 July 2025, the Ministry of Sports and Youth issued the decision on registration in the Register of Sports Organizations for the Wrestling Federation of Montenegro.
With this decision, the federation officially began operating. This completed the federation’s founding process, which had been ongoing since 2019.
According to available information, a wrestling federation existed in Montenegro in the period from 2007 to 2014.
However, a new generation has now brought fresh energy to wrestling in Montenegro, and for that reason we believe this time a successful sports story lies ahead.
