The 1st National Wrestling Championship was held

In Podgorica, on Sunday, 21 December 2025, after a long break, the First National Championship of Montenegro in Wrestling for all categories was held.

The competition included three Olympic disciplines: Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, and women’s wrestling, and in addition, grappling competitions were also held for men and women.

A total of 5 clubs from Montenegro participated with around 100 competitors: RK Perjanik (Podgorica), RK Rebel (Tivat), RK Brskovo (Mojkovac), RK Perjanici (Nikšić), and RK Herkules (Podgorica).

The technical organization of the championship was entrusted to RK Perjanik from Podgorica, the oldest and most experienced wrestling club, with support from the Secretariat for Sport of the Capital City.

The competition was officially opened by the Secretary of the Capital City’s Secretariat for Sport, Darko Nikčević.
