III National Grappling Championship held for U9, U13, U17 and U23

In Podgorica, on Saturday, 11 April 2026, another national grappling championship was held, this time for competitors in the U9, U13, U17 and U23 age groups. It was also the third competition organized by the Federation since its establishment, and the second under this year's calendar.

Six clubs from five different Montenegrin cities took part:

  • RK Perjanik Podgorica
  • RK Zabjelo Podgorica
  • RK Perjanici Nikšić
  • RK Ares Herceg Novi
  • RK B86 Kotor
  • RK Rebel Tivat

It was another valuable experience for all competitors, coaches, clubs, and for us in the Federation as well. A friendly atmosphere marked the competition from start to finish, but high-quality bouts were not lacking this time either.

The trophy for the best-placed team once again went to Perjanici of Nikšić, the silver trophy went to B86 from Kotor, and Zabjelo from Podgorica made sure that at least one trophy stayed in Podgorica by taking third place.

For the first time at a wrestling competition, officiating was handled exclusively by domestic referees: Emir Delijić, Bojan Pejović and Nikola Milošević, which is another clear sign of the Federation's development.

The competition was opened by the President of the Wrestling Federation of Montenegro, Boris Bošković.
